FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, ROCKWALL, TEXAS The congregation is made up of all members
on the active roll of the church. All such members who are present at
a congregational meeting are entitled to vote. The Book of Order states
that the congregation is to hold an annual meeting. At this meeting
such business as electing officers, hearing reports of the session along
with plans for the coming year, hearing reports from other organizations
of the church and transacting other business as is appropriate. The nominating committee consisting of:
Rick Filip, moderator, Hal Whitfield Nominating Committee for 2003: Bob Cotti, moderator, Carol Poole, Steve Rinner Nominations will be accepted from the floor. It is requested that any person who is nominated be contacted prior to their nomination. The business meeting will begin at 6:00 PM in the sanctuary, followed by dessert in the fellowship hall.

On Sunday October 13th First Presbyterian will worship on the lawn in a tent. Worship will be at 10:00
AM (there will be no Sunday School Oct.13th) During worship different people will
share their faith journey.

STEWARDSHIP October begins Steward Emphasis. Greg
Blair, moderator of the Stewardship Committee, is preparing for the
2003 stewardship season. Beginning October 20th special emphasis will
be given to the church's financial needs and 2003 program plans November
17th is Dedication Sunday. |
LADIES NIGHT OUT: will meet Monday, Oct. 7th... Dinner and a movie TBA MORNING CIRCLE: will meet Thursday,
Oct. 10th 10:30 AM at the church ENGRAVED BRICKS: The Presbyterian Women are once again selling engraved bricks. The cost is $50.00 each. Forms are on the counter in fellowship hall. Completed forms with check, made out to the "Presbyterian Women" must be turned in by Oct 13th to Felie Cotti or the church office. WORLD COMMUNITY DAY NOVEMBER 1, 2002 World Community Day is an annual event
that unites Protestant, Roman Catholic, Orthodox and other Christian
women in common worship for the purpose of strengthening and building
friendly relations within the community. The first Sunday of the month is designated
as food Sunday. You are encouraged to bring your donations and place
them in the wagon in fellowship hall. Canned meats, vegetables, dried
foods, (cereal, rice pasta) oil, sugar, flour, and toiletries are needed
to restock the food pantry at Helping Hands. |
